20+years of IT leadership

About me

I started as an engineer. As a leader, I learned it is all about people.

For most of my career I was responsible for business-critical systems, from billing and data warehousing to 5G readiness. Along the way it became clear to me that even the best technology decision is only worth as much as the team can deliver.

My leadership style is built on high emotional intelligence and solution-focused coaching. Rather than giving direct instructions, I support people in finding their own solutions. I bring the same approach to my clients, whether we are working on an IT strategy, a leadership dilemma or in a psychodrama group.

2018 – present
Chief Technology Officer, crypto/fintech. Built the organisation from scratch, with cloud-based (AWS) systems, MNB and DORA compliance and a team of 14 engineers.
2018 – 2021
Senior Project Manager, United Consult K2. Salesforce implementations, BI and data warehouse projects.
2013 – 2018
Head of Technical Strategy, Telenor Hungary. Technology strategy and roadmap, 5G readiness, VoLTE, virtualisation, full CAPEX responsibility.
2010 – 2013
Head of Business Services Operations, Telenor Hungary. Team of 25 experts; Amdocs, Teradata, SAP and Siebel systems.

What sport gave me

Swim, bike, run. Triathlon is a school of endurance.

I used to race triathlon competitively. In races and in training I learned a lot about leadership. You don't win a long race in the first kilometre, but in months of preparation and by holding on through the hard stretches.

Long-term thinking

Keep a sustainable pace instead of burning out. The same goes for a company, a team or a growth process.

Perseverance

There will be low points. What matters is knowing why you are doing it, and not giving up.

The unexpected

Something unexpected always happens in a race. What matters is meeting it openly and spontaneously, and finding the response that is right for you.
